Over three decades ago, President and CEO Tom Held founded MetaMedia Training International, Inc. Known at the time as MetaMedia Systems, the company was a pioneer in developing industry standards and applying innovative technologies to computer-based training (CBT). MetaMedia was first to develop multimedia training and multimedia databases for delivery on interactive laserdisc and CD-ROM.
Since 1981, MetaMedia has pursued an active R&D program, adapting emerging technologies to training and job performance and keeping our clients abreast of trends and evolving platforms that will affect the future of their training delivery. MetaMedia continued to assume a leadership position by developing the industry’s first mobile learning (mLearning) application for Marriott International in 2008. Our investment in R&D illustrates our commitment to meeting clients’ challenges wherever the training need exists.
Our seasoned and experienced staff includes training and learning development experts, multimedia innovators, and award-winning designers who skillfully help our clients with innovative approaches and advanced solutions to meet the emerging needs of their workforce and organization.
Through the use of new and existing technologies, the MetaMedia team has designed and developed thousands of hours of custom training and related technology services for global corporations, international associations, not-for-profit organizations, unions, and government clients covering a diverse spectrum of applications.
