MetaMedia's History
1980s
During this period, MetaMedia, originally known as MetaMedia Systems experienced an incredible transformation catapulting to one of the major forces in the industry. MetaMedia was a pioneer in developing industry standards and applying innovative technologies to computer-based training (CBT), and was part of the development team that designed the first Chrysler Laser Atlas Satellite System.
1990's
MetaMedia remained in front of the latest trends and was the first to develop multimedia training and multimedia databases for delivery on interactive laserdiscs and CD-ROMs.
2000s
MetaMedia continued to invest in R&D while adapting their offerings to emerging technologies and evolving platforms including interactive multimedia solutions for DVDs and kiosks. During this time MetaMedia developed the industry’s first mobile learning application for Marriott International and designed thousands of hours of custom eLearning and instructor-led training and communication programs including delivery on a handheld SONY PSP gaming system which MetaMedia had a development license for.
2010s
Our investment in R&D was illustrated in our commitment to meeting clients’ challenges whatever the training need from 2D and 3D animated graphics, website development, Learning Management Systems and mobile apps. MetaMedia developed the first proven effective smartphone-based digital tool to disseminate sexual health information to adolescent women as well as one to determine a chemical during a HazMat response.
2020s
Today, MetaMedia remains on the forefront of new and emerging technologies, incorporating the latest tools into our programs including artificial intelligence, mobile responsiveness, VR/AR, drone aerial footage and digital surrealism with motion graphics.
