MetaMedia Training International, Inc. won a Bronze Telly Award this past spring for its DVD-based CORE Curriculum training program. Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier international competition honoring achievements in television and film/video production. A judges’ panel made up of top advertising and production professionals reviewed more than 10,000 entries on key criteria including creativity and production value.The Telly Award is made by the same group that produces the Oscar Awards statue.

The DVD-based CORE Curriculum is the central component of the apprentice training program developed for the International Training Institute for the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Industry (ITI), a nonprofit organization that has been a client of MetaMedia for the past three years.
The CORE Curriculum program is comprised of a ten-disc DVD set used by classroom instructors to teach the sheet metal trade to more than 14,000 apprentices each year. The program contains 15 different training video scenarios used to inspire classroom discussion, and covers topics including fabrication, layout, reading plans, communication, teamwork, ethics, goal setting, and time management.
